Hanibee Font Review
As a web designer, I’m always on the lookout for fonts that bring both personality and professionalism to a site. Hanibee caught my eye with its elegant flow and modern script style. I decided to test it in a few real web projects to see how it would perform in different digital environments.
Testing Hanibee in a Hero Section
I started by using Hanibee in a hero section of a boutique online store. The font’s smooth curves and natural movement gave the headline a handcrafted feel that matched the brand’s aesthetic. It looked great over a background image, adding visual interest without overwhelming the design. The font had enough contrast to stand out but wasn’t too flashy for a professional setting.
On mobile devices, Hanibee held up well. The characters were clear and legible even at smaller sizes, which is crucial for responsive layouts. I noticed that the font’s swashes and ligatures added a subtle touch of elegance, making the headline feel more dynamic than a standard sans serif.
Using Hanibee for Call-to-Action Buttons
I next tried Hanibee on a call-to-action button for a course sales page. The font worked surprisingly well as a display typeface for buttons. Its flowing style made the text feel inviting and approachable, which is perfect for encouraging clicks. However, I found that the font might be too ornate for very small buttons or dense CTAs. For those cases, a simpler font would be better.
The font also paired nicely with a clean sans serif for the body text. Applying Hanibee to a Blog Header
For a blog redesign project, I used Hanibee in the header to give the site a more personal and creative vibe. The font’s unique character made the blog feel more like a curated space rather than a generic news site. It worked especially well when paired with a muted color palette, helping the text stand out without clashing with the background.
One thing I noticed was that Hanibee didn’t work as well on dark backgrounds. The contrast was a bit too low, making the text harder to read. I adjusted the font color slightly, which improved readability without sacrificing the font’s visual appeal.

In a landing page for a coaching service, Hanibee was used as a section heading. However, I wouldn’t recommend using Hanibee for long paragraphs of body text. While it’s beautiful as a display font, it lacks the clarity needed for extended reading. For that, a simple serif or sans serif font would be a better choice.
Considerations for Web Use
When working with Hanibee, it’s important to consider the context in which it will be used. The font is best suited for headlines, logos, and short phrases where its visual impact can shine. It’s not ideal for large blocks of text or small navigation elements where readability is key.
Before implementing Hanibee on a website, I recommend checking the available styles, weights, and alternates. These variations can help you fine-tune the font’s appearance to fit your specific design needs. Also, make sure the font is available in webfont formats like WOFF or WOFF2 for optimal performance.
For commercial use, ensure that the font license covers your intended application, whether it’s for your own site or a client project. Hanibee’s versatility makes it a valuable addition to any designer’s toolkit, especially when paired with complementary fonts for balance and clarity.
